How to paint laser cut items

ACRYLIC PAINT

All of our products can be painted, we recommend if you are going to use acrylic paint mix 25% water with the base colour to use as a primer, this allows the timber to suck in as much as it needs and cuts down on the paint costs.

When it is dry you can go over it as you would any other item and paint any colour your heart desires.

SPRAY PAINT

We recommend Dulex spots paints from Bunnings, the coverage is amazing and the fast drying times means you can have your art hanging the same day as you paint.

We recommend following the instructions on the can and applying two coats.

VARNISH

Make sure the item is dry and free from any damp, apply marine varnish, We recommend following the instructions on the can and applying two coats.

Due to the fumes please do this in a well ventilated area.

We recommend using Bondall Marine Varnish available at Bunnings,

Please follow the same instructions for stain, we use and recommend Cabot`s Varnish also available at Bunnings.
